Mary Bajor is the owner of A Beautiful Room, an Interior Decorating Company specializing in custom window treatments and soft furnishings, located in Brewster, New York. Professionally trained in New York City as an Interior Redesigner, Mary’s educational background also includes WCAA certification as a Window Treatment Consultant and completion of course study at the Custom Home Furnishing Academy in North Carolina. Mary has also completed the Success by Design Custom Decorating Program sponsored by Carole Fabrics, A Hunter Douglas Company.

Locally, Mary is an instructor with the Brewster Adult Education and North Salem Continuing Education programs on interior decorating topics such as “Decorating to Sell Your Home” and “Choosing Color Schemes For Your Interiors.” She has written several interior decorating articles which appear on the Sideroad.com, a website for expert advice, the Interiorredesigndirectory.com and 55alive.com.

Staying current with the latest decorating and color trends through participation in continuing education courses and industry seminars is of great importance to Mary. She has attended the 2005 Home Furnishings Forum in High Point, NC, the furniture capital of the United States. She has also attended the annual International Window Coverings Expo, acquiring new product information and seminar education to enrich her knowledge.

Mary is an Interior Design Society affiliate member, specialists in residential interior design, and served as Vice-President of this organization’s New York City chapter from April 2007 to February 2008. Her professional affiliations also include the Window Coverings Association of America and the Brewster Chamber of Commerce.

Community involvement is also vital to Mary’s company. A Beautiful Room has donated complimentary interior decorating services and products to benefit Support Connection, an organization formed to help women battling breast and ovarian cancers. Donation of services has also been made to benefit the Putnam Family & Community Services and the Hudson Valley Hospital.
